If you decide to proceed with treatment after your complimentary exam, diagnostic records are then taken to determine the best course of treatment.
During your initial visit, you will meet with Dr. Valins in our office which is located in the home she grew up in. Orthodontic records may be taken if more information is needed to correctly diagnose any problems and give you a fee.
Complete diagnostic records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, an Itero intraoral scan of the teeth, photos of the patient’s face and teeth, and digital x-rays. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan that addresses the unique needs of each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.

Following photos, digital x-rays, scan and evaluation, Dr. Valins will be able to discuss with you or your child’s potential need for orthodontic care. Often times, Smilesweet Orthodontics will see patients for 4-6 years of FREE checkups and wellness visits before braces are deemed necessary.
NOTE: No dental work or referral is needed before your consult with Smilesweet Orthodontics. Often times we can help both the patient and your dentists with creating a game plan that works best for you and helps to eliminate future dental work.
